Scope of application

The general terms and conditions are decisive for the implementation of seminars, events and all related catering at Berghaus Foppa.

Reservations

Reservations and contracts are mutually binding and become valid with the timely return of your written confirmation to Berghaus Foppa. This also applies to verbal reservations/by e-mail or telephone. We reserve the right to withdraw from an offer as long as there is no signed copy of the contract. If there is a new inquiry for the same date, we reserve the right to request a final decision within 48 hours.

Number of participants

The final number of participants must be communicated to us at least 48 hours before the event. If the effective number of participants is smaller, the definitively confirmed number is the basis for the billing; if it is higher, we do not guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all guests. The additional costs incurred by the additional participants will be invoiced.

Detailed information

All information important for the implementation of an event, such as menu and wine selection, seating, table and hall decorations, menu printing, technical aids and others must be provided to us at least 14 days before the event. Since we only use fresh products, we cannot rule out a price change. All menu courses are without after-service. Vintages of various wines as well as prices are subject to change.
Attaching material to walls and ceilings is not permitted.

Technical aids

The organizer is responsible for the correct use and proper return of all technical aids or equipment that we provide to him or have procured on his behalf through third parties. He is liable for any damages and losses. We cannot be prosecuted for claims by third parties.

Room allocation

The size of the party influences the choice of the room. In the event of significant changes to the original number of participants, the restaurant reserves the right to change the premises.

Smokers

All rooms of the Berghaus Foppa are non-smoking.

Insurance

The insurance of objects, clothing and materials brought along is the responsibility of the organizer. We Berghaus Foppa AG decline any responsibility for theft and damage. The organizer is liable to Berghaus Foppa for damage to the facility or inventory and for losses caused by himself, his participants and employees.

Advertisement

Advertising or advertisements with references to events at the Berghaus Foppa by the organizer require our consent.

Cancellation policy

All cancellations must be in writing.
Banquets free of charge up to 60 days before the event
60–31 days before the event 25% of confirmed services
30–15 days before the event 50% of the confirmed services
14–7 days before the event 75% of confirmed services
7–0 days before the event 100% of the confirmed services

The number of people reported up to 48 hours before the start of the event is considered the effective basis for the settlement. It is binding and will be charged at 100%. If an equivalent replacement organiser can be found for the reserved premises and if this is accepted by us, the organiser will be exempt from the cancellation costs. We reserve the right to adjust the cancellation conditions individually depending on the type and size of the event. In this case, this will be noted in the confirmation. Any advance services provided by us must be paid in any case.

Prices

Subject to change. The prices are generally per person, incl. VAT of 8.1% and in CHF.

Invoicing

All invoices are generally at the expense of the organizer.
If a special form of billing or a split of the invoice is desired, we must be informed 48 hours before the event. The organizer will be held liable for any unpaid invoices of the participants.

Payment Terms

If payment is not made in cash, by EC card, postcard or generally valid credit card, we will send you an invoice. These are payable within 10 days of the invoice date without deduction. Berghaus Foppa reserves the right to demand a deposit of a maximum of 50% of the agreed services from the organizer. For reservations with a foreign billing address or reservations from abroad, a deposit of 100% of the reserved services is required. Everything else will be paid directly on site.
